Australian Bouldering Grants Program Recipients

Inaugural Round - closed October 31st, 2002

Grants approved for this first round totalled $1,300 and were distributed to support 4 separate projects by individuals. All 4 valid applications received by the deadline were approved this round.  The following grants were awarded this round:

James Scarborough - $500 was awarded to James (who is the reigning National Bouldering Champion and has bouldered several V13's outside) to contribute towards his 6 month European bouldering holiday in the first half of 2003.

Undisclosed recipient - $500 was awarded to a recipient who wishes to remain undisclosed at this time.  Details will follow in the next few weeks.

Dean Orange - $250 was awarded to Dean to contribute towards him documenting the portion of James Scarborough's European trip including his visit to Fontainebleau and Cresciano.

Sam Daish - $50 was awarded to Sam to contribute towards competition entry fees and transport from Melbourne for the Australia Bouldering Nationals in September.
