Guide: not yet No. Problems: 20 Grades: V0- to V7 Angle: all Eliminates: none Top outs: all |
Location: Park at the end of Rifle Range Road (hence the name RnR) in Northmead where there is a bit of a dead end / cul-de-sac. Head straight ahead down between the houses where there is a path and you'll find the area appearing on the left.
History: Discovered and developed by Tim O'Neill and Adam Griffiths in the autumn/winter of 2002.
Ethics: This area is very close to peoples houses and backyards and so far the residents welcome the "intrusion". But please no boom-boxes, dogs or swearing - save that for the gym!
Problems: The first slabby wall is called beginners wall and there are a multitude of easy problems here (V0). The big boulders have several problems on the southern face with the bottom arete done as an absolute classic standing (V4) and sit-start (V5). Up the hill, in full view of someone house (so be especially considerate) there is a cool cave with lots of problems but the obvious line out the roof is a super classic V7. There is a slightly harder direct start to it coming up from the right at about the same grade.
